The eerie gates of Nevermore Academy have opened once more as Wednesday Season 2 descends with darker twists, new characters, and deeper mysteries. Following the runaway success of Season 1, the next chapter in Wednesday Addams’ journey brings back familiar faces and welcomes a chilling new lineup.

The Addams Family Expands

Jenna Ortega reprises her standout role as Wednesday, whose dry wit and psychic visions continue to unravel secrets far beyond the school walls. This season, the Addams family takes on a more prominent role. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Luis Guzmán (Gomez), and Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley) return, bringing the full Addams dynamic to Nevermore for the first time. Fans of the original franchise will also be thrilled to see Christopher Lloyd—Uncle Fester in the 1990s films—joining as Professor Orloff.

Familiar Outcasts and Fresh Blood

The quirky classmates from Season 1 are back: Emma Myers returns as Enid Sinclair, now fully embracing her werewolf identity; Joy Sunday’s Bianca Barclay, Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin, and Moosa Mostafa’s Eugene all continue to shape the shifting alliances at Nevermore. And of course, the disembodied hand Thing (Victor Dorobantu) is never far behind.

But the biggest shakeup comes in the form of new faculty and foes. Steve Buscemi steps into the role of Principal Barry Dort, a pyrokinetic figure with a secretive past. Lady Gaga makes a splashy debut as Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious teacher who commands attention both in the classroom and in the storyline. Other newcomers include Billie Piper as the eccentric music teacher Isadora Capri, and Thandiwe Newton as Dr. Fairburn, a psychiatrist with a hidden agenda.

Breakout newcomer Evie Templeton plays Agnes DeMille, an invisible Nevermore student whose obsessive fascination with Wednesday could spell danger. And fans of psychological thrillers will be intrigued by Haley Joel Osment’s role as a suspected serial killer hiding in plain sight.

More Horror, Less Romance

According to Netflix’s official cast guide, the tone of Season 2 skews even darker. The show leans harder into horror and mystery, dialing back romance to focus on eerie suspense and deeper lore. Tim Burton returns to direct multiple episodes, maintaining the show's gothic visual style.

Adding to the excitement, the season is split into two parts: Part 1 premiered August 6, 2025, and Part 2 will drop on September 3. With eight episodes in total, each instalment promises more chaos, comedy, and creepiness than ever before.
